Dear Member,

August is going to be a BIG month for us. Our second of three 75th Anniversary Celebrations is planned for Thursday, August 4 at our new Plattsburgh branch, and Bark in the Park returns for a second year on Saturday, August 7 in Tupper Lake.

Plus, we are inches away from the goal line on launching your new website. Not only will it be an incredible new resource for your financial needs, but we've designed it to be a resource for our communities as well.

Thanks, as always, for your support. Especially Christina Spoor, who's been with us longer than anyone. More on Christina below.

NEWS FROM YOUR CREDIT UNION

Bark in the Park Returns
They don’t call it the dog days of summer for nothing—and for the second year in a row, our Bark in the Park event is returning to Tupper Lake Municipal Park on Sunday, Aug. 7, from 11a–2p. This fund-raiser for the Tri-Lakes Humane Society features a pet walk, ice cream, live music by Josh Weiss and kids’ activities. Plattsburgh Party!
That's right, it's time for the 75th Anniversary Celebration to roll on. This time, we're hosting at our new Plattsburgh branch on Thursday, August 4th.

Join us for a sweet treat, and enter your name in the raffle for a night out including dinner, the movies and even a gas card to get you there.
Back to School... Already

Inflation means back-to-school costs will be steeper than ever this year. A survey by accounting firm Deloitte shows parents expect to spend $661 per child on clothes and school gear, up 8% from the year before.

You can help local families in need by contributing to our annual school-supply drive. Learn More.

Used Cars. New Dreams.

Sometimes, finding a job is only part of the battle employees face. In our rural communities, getting a ride to work can be just as much of a challenge.

A $100,000 donation from the Adirondack Foundation is enabling us to do something about that. Check this out.

BANK NOTES: Banking for the Long Run

In 1959, when Christina Spoor opened an account at the Sunmount Employees’ Federal  Credit Union in Tupper Lake, she wasn’t looking for a lifelong relationship. She just wanted a place to cash her paycheck.

But 63 years later, she’s still an Adirondack Regional member (we changed our name back in 1989). In fact, as we mark our 75th year in 2022, nobody’s been a member longer than Christina.

Here's her story.
