Dear Member,
You’ve heard the saying: One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Especially if you’re in the habit of throwing out credit card bills, pay stubs, old tax records, and other documents that might contain sensitive information.
To protect against identity theft, it’s smart to shred documents that contain personal data. But if you don’t own a shredder, we're hosting a shred day at our Tupper Lake branch on Friday, Oct. 14, from 9-11 a.m.
This event is free and open to the public. All residents of the Tupper Lake community are welcome.
Documents are limited to up to five Bankers Box-style containers per person. Don’t worry about removing staples or paper clips. Documents will be shredded on-site.
Hope to see you Friday,
Russ Cronin
