Forward Forward

In the banking business, talk of yield rates and monetary policy tends to obscure the people behind the policies—especially the most vulnerable among us.

At a hometown institution like Adirondack Regional Federal Credit Union, though, we have the privilege of seeing our members every day. And we see how economic facts and figures play out in real life. Inflation, of course, has been especially painful for all of us this year. At the holidays, wallets are pinched even more than usual.

Next month, we’d like to help those who could use it the most. If you know a family that could use a hearty holiday meal and gifts for their children, please share their name and address with our Plattsburgh and Potsdam offices. We’ll deliver the food and presents. (If you’d rather not share a name, feel free to submit your own, and we’ll give you the food to deliver yourself.)

NEWS FROM YOUR CREDIT UNION
Make A Child's Holiday Bright
The holidays are coming. Will you help make it memorable for a North Country child? Each of our three branches are collecting gifts for the holidays that will go to a child in need. To participate in Potsdam or Tupper Lake, stop by either branch and pull a tag off our Christmas tree. Click here for details.
Pardon our Sawdust
Renovations to our Potsdam branch are underway. We’re trying to keep disruptions to a minimum, but for part of the project, only the drive-through window will be open. Call 315-268-1440 ahead of time to be sure we’re open if you need in-branch services. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the payoff will be worth it.
“It’s Like a Family”
When other people make a mess, Ian Christensen is there to clean things up. But when Christensen’s finances are a little untidy, he can turn to us. The owner of Perfection Cleaning in Plattsburgh, there have been times, he says, when he’s needed money quickly when cashflow got tight—and the credit union has always been there, ready to help. BANK NOTES
Welcome Aboard, Carol Ann

Carol Ann Payment got a head start on her new employee orientation: She’s not just our newest teller, after all, she’s a member.

Read on to learn why we gave her a golden ticket … to our Tupper Lake branch.
I live in: Brasher Falls
I was born in: Meriden, Conn. “My uncle got married in 1993 and my parents decided it was a great idea to move here, LOL.”
My favorite part of the job is: “I cannot pick. I truly love it all.”
My idea of a perfect day is: “I would not like a perfect day because that’s no fun.”
People are surprised to learn: “That I have auditioned for American Idol twice and how fast I can count money.”
You’ve been a member for two years. Now that you’re on the other side of the fence, what do you appreciate more than before? “I definitely appreciate the work my co-workers do. There is so much more to opening an account, for example—there is a lot of paperwork for everything.”
