Dear Valued Members,
As we move through the first quarter of the year, I want to take a moment to share several important updates that reflect the continued growth and evolution of your credit union.
I’m proud to report that in 2025, we returned a record $452,369 in dividends to our members, a 20% increase from the prior year. This milestone reflects the strength of our institution and our commitment to ensuring that value is returned directly to you.
As we continue to grow, so does our responsibility to protect your accounts. Beginning April 21st, we will be implementing two-factor authentication (2FA) for online banking. This is a standard security measure across the financial industry and an important step in safeguarding your account.
From a member perspective, this process will be straightforward. The first time you log in after April 21st, you will be prompted to complete a one-time verification. After that, verification will typically only be required when accessing your account from a new device or unfamiliar network. When prompted, a one-time code will be sent to your email or phone number already on file, allowing you to securely complete your login in just a few seconds.
We are also preparing for a significant technology upgrade, effective September 1, 2026. Our systems have reached a point where modernization is required to meet both current expectations and future needs. This investment will modernize our capabilities, introduce new products and services over time, and enhance your overall banking experience.
This upgrade will include:
- Tap-to-pay cards for faster, seamless, and more convenient everyday transactions
- Significantly enhanced online and mobile banking capabilities
- A fully modernized mobile app experience designed to be more intuitive and user-friendly
- Cleaner, more detailed member statements that are easier to read and understand
- Advanced security enhancements across all platforms to better protect your accounts
This is a meaningful step forward for the credit union. After more than a decade without a comprehensive system upgrade, this transition is both necessary and long overdue to ensure we continue delivering the level of service you expect and deserve.
Our team is working diligently behind the scenes to ensure this transition is as seamless as possible. We are committed to making this upgrade smooth and straightforward from a member perspective, with clear communication and support every step of the way.
We also remain committed to supporting the communities we serve. This winter, we were proud to sponsor local events such as the Tupper Lake Sportsmen’s Club Ice Fishing Derby and the Tupper Lake BrewSki & Fire & Ice Golf Tournament. Events like these bring people together, support local businesses, and highlight the strength of our community.
As always, thank you for your continued trust and membership. We remain focused on delivering value, enhancing your experience, and building a stronger future together.
Warm regards,
Basel Farhat, MSDA

Giving Back to Our Community
Recent Highlights
Being part of the North Country means showing up for the people, organizations, and traditions that make it special.
Over the past few months, we’ve had the opportunity to support meaningful projects like the North Country Children’s Museum’s second floor expansion, creating more space for children and families in our region to learn, explore, and play.
This winter, we were proud to sponsor local events including the Tupper Lake Sportsmen’s Club Ice Fishing Derby and the Tupper Lake BrewSki and Fire & Ice Golf Tournament. Events like these bring people together, uplift local businesses, and make the most of everything our community has to offer.
We also enjoyed connecting with members through initiatives like our "Sharing the Love" contest. Congratulations to Ruth Valentine, our winner, and thank you to everyone who shared what they love about being part of Adirondack Regional FCU on our social media.
Adirondack Regional FCU also sponsored local students Lacey and Charlie as they prepare to attend the HOBY NY East Seminar this June, gaining valuable leadership experience and representing our community.
Contributions also extended to organizations like the Oriental Shriners, whose work through Shriners Hospitals for Children helps ensure children and families have access to specialized medical care across North America.
We're grateful for every opportunity to give back and be part of such a strong and connected community. Be sure to follow us on social media so you don’t miss out on future giveaways, events, and updates.

Financial Literacy Month
Making the Most of Your Savings
April is Financial Literacy Month, a good time to take a closer look at how you’re saving and whether your current approach is supporting your goals.
One simple step is to review where your savings are held and what they’re earning. If your savings are sitting in a low-yield account, exploring options that better align with your goals, whether for short-term needs, emergencies, or longer-term plans, can help your money grow more effectively over time.
Even small, consistent contributions can add up, especially when paired with the right type of account.
Adirondack Regional FCU offers Personal Savings options designed to support a range of financial goals, helping you build and manage your savings with confidence.
