College Scholarship Opportunities 

Each year, Adirondack Regional FCU awards Donald DeVirgeles Memorial Scholarships to students in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and St. Lawrence counties. The scholarships are named for a former president of the credit union, and are given based on academic achievement, financial need, and community service. 

Awards Available for 2026

Ten (10) $1,000 Scholarships

Eligibility and Requirements

  • The applicant does NOT have to be a member of Adirondack Regional FCU to apply.
  • Must be a high school senior accepted to an accredited College/University/Trade School.
  • Must have a GPA of at least 2.7

Required Application Materials

  • Most recent high school transcript.
  • Financial aid package from the institution you've been accepted to.
  • Essay responding to the following:
    • Tell us about yourself, what makes you passionate about the field you've chosen to study, and how this scholarship can help you succeed.
    • Describe your academic achievements, community involvement, and volunteer activities.

Applications must be received by 5 pm on April 22nd, 2026 

All application materials must be submitted. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
