Dear member,

Now that we've gathered to celebrate our graduates, it's time to take a moment to give yourself a little pat on the back. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, guardian, a neighbor or a friend, you are a part of our graduates community.

You boosted our grads when they were down, shuttled them to the field, picked them up from chorus, and cheered them at both. You'll continue to cheer them, and so will we.

Wherever you go. Whatever you do. Our community is there for you.

Jamin Whitmore of Tupper Lake H.S. and Isabelle Wylie of Plattsburgh H.S. each received $1,000 scholarships. Whitmore will attend Clarkson University in the fall, while Wylie will go to the University of Alabama. Eight other recipients received scholarships of $500 each. Read about each here.
Make A Splash!
Looking to cool off this summer? Head to any Adirondack Regional FCU to pick up discounted tickets to Enchanted Forest Water Safari, New York State’s largest water park. Members (and your friends) can purchase tickets to the Old Forge destination for just $36. That’s a $5 savings off the regular price of an adult ticket, plus a few other benefits.
Welcome Kate
Our latest hire, Kate Harriman, has already gotten a head start on the new-employee orientation: She completed an internship at our Tupper Lake branch last summer. And after graduating from St. Lawrence University in May, she joined us as a financial analyst. We're thrilled to have her back on your team. Meet Kate.
Photo Contest
Email us a photo of your favorite summer spot, tell us why, and what branch you most frequent. We'll post the image along with your first name and photo description to a gallery on our Facebook page. The Top 5 from each branch with the most likes will win one of these awesome blankets, plus a water bottle. Deadline to enter is July 10. Enter Now.
Save The Date
The dog days of summer may have just begun, but mark your calendars: Bark in the Park will return on Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Tupper Lake Municipal Park. Once again, we're  co-sponsoring this fundraiser for the Tri-Lakes Humane Society. Your $15 ticket ($20 for two) supports this non-profit, no-kill shelter, which has been serving the region since 1942.
We Want You
…to serve on our Supervisory Committee! We’re seeking one volunteer to fill a post on this important group, which handles tasks such as hiring a firm to conduct an internal audit; reviewing procedures for closing accounts; ensuring accounts are verified every other year; and making sure branches have accurate cash counts. MEMBER STORY

Bearing Down

In her five years working at Bear Essentials, an apparel and embroidery business, Christina Karl had been involved with almost every part of the operation. Accounting, purchasing, sales, management—she’d done it all. So when its owners were ready to sell, buying Bear Essentials was a logical next step. And it’s one Karl was able to take with the help of Adirondack Regional FCU, which earlier this year provided her a loan to buy the business. This is her story.
