Dear member,

Holiday giving comes in many forms. Sometimes it's a simple smile, or just lending an ear to a friend. Other times it's giving to someone you don't even know. Which is why each of our branches are collecting holiday gifts for area children through Dec. 15.

In Plattsburgh, we’re participating in NBC5’s “Toys for Kids” program; drop off a new, unwrapped gift in the bin in the lobby. In Tupper Lake and Potsdam, collect a tag from the Christmas tree in the lobby, and purchase a gift suitable for the age and gender written on the tag.

Plus a special visit from Santa in Tupper Lake today from 3-5pm. Stop on by, say hi to Santa, and join us in helping a local family.

Give the Gift of Good Finance
Speaking of good habits: Have you considered opening a checking or savings account for your child this holiday season? According to Youth.gov, those who build financial literacy at a young age are likelier to do a better job managing their money as adults. They tend to owe less and save more. We can help.
Whether we are enjoying some sunshine and pup-cones with our four-legged friends or collecting toys to give to kids in need over the holidays, we take joy in helping our local Tupper Lake, Plattsburgh, and Potsdam communities. This is why.
Watch Out for Holiday Scams
It’s almost December, which means many charities and non-profit organizations are ramping up their year-end fundraising drives. For many organizations, the gifts they bring in during the holiday season go a long way toward enabling the good work they do all year long. But not every appeal is legitimate. Here's some tips and information on recently reported scams.

New Starts Start With Us
After 13 years in a white collar job, Kory Hosler came to a realization: He just wanted to get his hands dirty again. So at the age of 36, he ditched his career in employee benefits, put on his Carhartts, and launched ADK Exclusive LLC—a full-service property management and concierge company that handles everything from seasonal maintenance to general contracting and project management for second-homers. We helped make it happen. Here's how.
