Dear member,
It’s the end of April, and you’ve done your taxes. But don’t rest on your finances now—it’s a great time, in fact, to give your financial habits a once-over a once-over with a financial counseling session to make sure they’re up to snuff.
Stop by any of our three branches and speak with a certified financial counselor who can give you great advice. Helping families and our communities grow by increasing their financial security is what we do. Let's do it together.

Stay Ahead of Scammers
Every year, people in the United States lose billions of dollars to financial fraud. As online payments become more common, it’s more important than ever to tighten up your own practices. Zelle is a service that lets you send and receive money to anybody with an email address, especially when you keep these things in mind.

Check Your Credit Score
Your credit score is the key to borrowing money. If it’s too low, you might not be able to borrow at all—or you’ll have to pay extra for a loan, in the form of a higher interest rate. You’re entitled to a free copy of your credit report every 12 months—we can help.

William Axtell, the owner of Adirondack Mountain Coffee in Jay, had grown the business slowly and surely since taking over the family business nine years ago. He started with a roasting operation. Then, he opened a café, serving breakfast and lunch. And then COVID-19 hit, throwing his business, and the world, into limbo. That’s when he turned to Adirondack Regional Federal Credit Union. And things got back on track. Here's the story.
