Putting the Future Within Reach

One of the most rewarding (and difficult) tasks we have every year is selecting the 10 recipients of our Donald DeVirgeles Memorial Scholarships. These awards — two for $1,000 each, and eight for $500 apiece — help deserving young men and women realize their college dreams.

We know it means a lot to them, also. These are just some of the things they wrote to us after getting scholarships: 

“Your generosity means a lot,” one wrote. “These monies will help me greatly in my college endeavors.”

“I plan to attend Clarkson University this fall and will be pursuing a degree in the engineering field,” another wrote. “This scholarship will most definitely help make that happen.”

“I am truly honored, and eager to embark on this next journey,” still another student shared.

We’re proud to offer these scholarships — and you should be just as proud, because your membership in Adirondack Regional FCU helps make them happen. These scholarships are just one way we support our communities; sponsorship of community events such as the annual Bark in the Park fundraiser, working with first-time homebuyers to put down roots in our towns, and helping small businesses secure the financing they need to grow here are others.

Congratulations to all of our DeVirgeles scholarship winners. You’re off to do big things!
