Russ moved to the Adirondacks in 2014 then as the chief financial officer for St. Joseph’s, the addiction treatment center based in Saranac Lake. A little empathy, goes a long way. “My mantra is, ‘What would David do?’” he said, referring to his late partner, David Tomberlin—a local restaurant owner who’s deft personal touch complemented his own more analytic style. Russ holds a BS in Accountancy from Virginia Commonwealth University.
