Annie Churco of Cabin Fever Floral and Gifts in Tupper LakeAnnie (Churco) Eldred has owned Cabin Fever Floral & Gifts, in Tupper Lake for 19 years. She gives Adirondack Regional Federal Credit Union recognition for giving her the boost that got her off the ground.

I would not be in business without them.

When she started her business, Annie, who has a degree in floral and art science, had worked in a shop for two years. Her goal in opening a florist business was simple - provide the kind of warm, welcoming customer service that keeps people coming back. In other words, the kind of customer service she’s grown used to at Adirondack Regional FCU.

They are always patient, always trying to find ways to make things work, she says. They treated you like a human being. They gave you opportunities when another bank may have overlooked you.

After opening Cabin Fever, she faced a deadline to purchase her property or face losing the business. “I was a risk for them. They took a chance,” she says of Adirondack Regional. “But they got me my mortgage and gave me the ability to buy my building."

They’re the only bank I ever recommend. For anybody, at any time.
